My first replica purchase was 3 years ago in Thailand, where I bought a fake watch from an open air market vendor. I thought it was a Swiss replica watch; but, of course it wasn't. The watch I bought for almost $150 worked for 3 weeks, at which point it just stopped. Back at home I brought it in to a local watchmaker, but he couldn’t help me because he didn’t have the replacement parts…of course he didn’t, they came from Thailand.

So essentially I spent $150 on nothing. But what was more frustrating than losing the money was that I wanted that watch, and thought my chance to get it cheap was in Asia; Now I was back in America.

So I decided to go online and see if there wasn’t a retailer nearby where I could buy a Rolex replica.

Back then fake watches was a very under developed business on the internet. The images on the sites I found were low quality, the prices were high, and the sites looked like a kid built them. They had strange, non secure payment options and no one replied to my emails. That made me pretty skeptical.

I was started curious about this business and more and more interested. I continued to research. When I found a site (no longer operating) that I thought at the time had the best Rolex replica on the web I made a purchase. I transferred the money through my bank account to somewhere in China. The watch did arrive after 2 weeks but didn’t have all the engravings and markings of the original. On top of that it didn’t look anything like the pictures posted on their site.

I quickly sent the company an email and told them I wanted to send my replica watch back. 6 days later they replied asking me to take pictures of the watch in question and explain again what the problem was. So, I did what they asked and they sent me a replacement watch, and they let me keep the first one. But the second watch was the same as the first one!

Still to this day I don’t understand why they bothered.

About a year later, I noticed a change developing on the internet. More and more sites started popping up, the merchants were getting better and the selection bigger.

I again found what I thought was a good site and placed a new order for a Swiss Rolex replica watch. The watch arrived 5 days later (it was sent within the US) and I could not believe the quality of the new watch I received, really, it was indistinguishable from the original and had all the markings, and all the engravings that the real one has: I went in to a Rolex boutique and checked. I didn’t know this was possible. I still own it today, and I only paid $200 for it, unbelievable.

After that I went on a bit of a buying blitz and I ordered a new watch every couple of months from their site. They had a pretty sizeable watches collection and the quality was consistently amazing.
